Default 102 hood on a 100

Greetings all,

I have a 100 good shape but could use a new hood. There is a fellow that has a 102 engine shot, but the rest still there, will the hood fit on my 100???

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

My answer will be different because I like to use correct parts when possible. I'd be on the look out for a 70/100 series hood. Might get one cheap if it has a cracked brace, which this series were known for, along with being kind of "twisty". Anyways, a 102 hood is different but might work and will look goofy because of the two different hood styles.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
