Hey M!!
Like my Dad used to say "s@#t or get off the pot!!" I have read your posts again and I have to agree with Matt. BUY THE 105. It will do what you want it to and I can guarantee that once you have it, you will like it, and you will then find a 782 at a good price. That will inevitably lead you to buy the 782 and next thing you know you will be hooked!!! |

MH:
The 105 is a nice Cub. I have one. BUT....for my implement work, I prefer a higher HP and a Wide Frame Cub. I have 3 WF Cubs and 2 NF Cubs. I like them all and each have their own duties. However, most my implement tasks are done with my 1450 or 784 (WF) Tractors. Bear in mind, that is MY preference.

I agree...I should buy it, and I am sure there are many other's lined up to use the "pot" too....I might see if the guy will let me look at it this weekend, that will likely be the deciding factor. He was talking about possibly throwing in the old plough....he was unsure about the set of disc's.....been talking back and forth via e-mail, sounds like he has a bunch of other tractors too, Case stuff....not in big rush to get rid of things....I think he has a shed full of stuff to tinker with by the sounds of it?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
