1863 Joined the Cub Pack
So, I brought this one home yesterday along with a plow blade. I'll post more pics and the details of the whole package deal,
when I bring it's garage partner home on Tuesday. They'll both be stuck outside here at their new home for a bit, till I can move the new stuff outside, and bring the old in. The spot on the fender is not really rusted up yet, going to fix that spot before it gets out of hand. It's sitting right beside it's big brother, the 2182, just out of site to the right.

Nice to see the bumper, always helps to keep the plastic from damage.

Yeah Mike, Lew, The front end is in very good shape. The tractor overall for it's age is in good shape.
It has an issue starting, going to clean the carb, and replace the plugs, but it could be a coil issue, as the PO said that when it gets to running temp, it cuts out like it's only running on one cylinder. Runs like a Cyclops when hot. EDIT: On the price I'll post the whole deal when I get some pics of the 1810 I'm going to pick up from the guy tomorrow evening. I think I did good, but not a Lew price.

OK, got the 1810 home, safe and sound. We slowly pushed it out of his shed until the rear tires hit the trailer ramp (about 8 feet)
and I looked at him and said. This thing is hard to push, especially with a flat front tire. He looked at me and said yeah. So we stopped, and he went and got the compressor while I hooked the winch line up to the front I couldn't use the winch while it was in the shed, as we had to go back and forth to turn it a little. I have a small Warn 2000 that I have on a Harbor Freight $5.00 winch plate, and have chain bolted to it. I connect it in the back of the GMC via the bed hooks, and use a JNC 660 portable battery jump pack, to power it. It works quite well, and is a major back saver, which I'm all about these days. Anyway I got the 1863 and the plow for either of the tractors and the lift bracket for the 1863. He had the one for the 1810, but it's MIA at the moment, along with one of the front hub caps, he's going to look for it in the shed. Anyway he was asking $350.00 for the 1863, and $100.00 for the plow, lift rod, and lift bracket. I offered him $400.00 for all that and he accepted it. He also gave me 2 gals HY-Tran, a spare scrape blade for the plow. For the 1810, he was asking $250.00 and I offered him $200.00 before I left on Saturday, and again he accepted it. So I picked up the 1810 tonight and he comes out with a big 3 ring binder full of all the service/owners manuals for decks, QA42 snow thrower, Magnum M18/M20 service manual, 1810 service, owners and wiring schematics... I'll have to really go through it, but it's a lot o f stuff. So I knew it would be dark by the time I got home. Got off at Adamstown exit of Rt.222 and snapped a few pics. So I brought all the stuff home for $600.00 and about a 1/2 tank of fuel for the 2 trips. Oh and several cups of Dunkin, straight up. EDIT: He sent me a text around 11:45PM and he found the plow lift bracket for the 1810. So now just minus one front hub cap.

When you get time,
pull both plugs and roll it over with the starter. Check for spark and compression it should blow yer finger out of the plug holes on each side, don't get near the plug/wire checking the for spark. it hurts like a HEI on a SBC and makes you wished you didn't do it Ha,LOL! Where is the oil coming from? front or back of engine. Ask questions here when you got one, not after you do something dumb oh, it looks nice even IF the engine had some big problems, you did good june bug. |

Anybody have a pic of the dash where said light turn on/off thingy would be. While looking for loose terminals today to get er to crank over (found em), I saw a 2 terminal switch behind the dash (nothing hooked up), beside hydro lever, thinking that might be part of the headlight black hole mystery? I thought with all the stuff he gave me along with it, 2 Bens was a pretty good deal. Pic of all the manuals he gave me for the 1810
