I think you can get a suppository for that.

Guy goes to the Dr. claiming he couldn't hear well.
Doc looks him over and says "you have a suppository in your ear."
Guy says "what??"
Doc says, much louder "YOU HAVE A SUPPOSITORY IN YOUR EAR!!"
Guy says, "Well, I guess I know where my hearing aid is now!"

I don't mean this to sounds insulting, but are you certain it is coming from your mower?

Do you have anything else that could be leaking gas in the garage? I would think you would notice the leak when looking at your mower since the smell is that strong.

Good point, a leak should be obviously wet. The fuel goes from the tank to fuel line to carburetor. Should be obvious you would think.

I have 2 cubs in this garage, a generator, weed eater, and once the tank was purged the smell went away. I tore the carb apart and double checked the float cleaned it up again with carb cleaner and compressed air...there was nothing in it. Reassembled everything and filled the tank there are no leaks. I agree with Jon on the fact that gas evaporates fast but 3/4 of a gallon in 2 days is a bit much. The side of the engine is dry and still dirty if the gas would be coming out i think there would be a definate clean spot where it was running. My 149 sets here minding its own with a half tank of fuel with no issues.

Two days and maybe 2.5 quarts of gas, closed up garage, summer time.... oh yeah. I promise it evaporated.

Look at the air filter. Should be able to see it got wet on the bottom where the gas ran through it. Needle valve may have stuck, or got something in it. It happens.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
