Default Oil filter?

I was getting ready to change the engine oil in my new to me 882. The oil filter that’s on it now (NAPA 1064) is bigger than the one I got (Kubota HH150-32430). According to the parts lookup this is the correct filter. Is it not?

I would trust the Cub Cadet site with Kubota HH150-32430 way before an Auto Parts site with a alleged cross reference.

Well the NAPA filter doesn't come up as a cross for the Kubota filter. The HH150-32430 crosses to a Wix 51365 or a 51365XP so the NAPA number would be 1365

I run Wix 51064 (Napa 1064) in all of my diesel Cubs. If you do a filter look up on the Wix site it shows the 51064 for them.

If you look on the Cub site it calls for a KB-70000-15241. That filter crosses to a 51064. I believe either filter will work fine.

Kubota has superseded the 70000-15241 to HH150-32430 so the 1064 that you had was correct and the Kubota filter is also correct.

HH150-32430 crosses to a WIX 51365 NAPA 1365
70000-15241 crosses to a WIX 51064 NAPA 1064

I opted for the newer Kubota recommended HH150 filter, mostly due to space constraints. Obviously, there is slightly more capacity in the original sized filter, but the bigger filter comes very close to the water pump/alt belt, and the oil pressure switch. The smaller filter matches the diameter of the boss perfectly, and is more than adequate for the engine. Like has been stated, either is correct.

I had no idea so many filters would fit the D600. I've been running a Wix 51334.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
