Volt/Reg pin out
ok i read a few post and sort of cornfused. yep another VR ?. lol
before i blow this up. what is the pin out . i look at the wire diagram in the tech area. but on the VR there is no markings. its a Delco Rem. i would like to bench test. i have a variable power supply 0-16 volts it can do 35 amps so i have enough volt and amps. 127/47 ty for info ps edit.. yes the reistor is good yes the ground wire is intec. rubbers are in good shape 1st min or so is of the cub. wires gone as you can see. SG is unhooked. running on jumper box. so folks know what iam dealing with. i just picked it up last week. it needs love... had to swap carbs as the orig carb is full of the green gooo lol... but for 250 what can i say lol https://youtu.be/sW6sEFBqvPs 20210224_133851.jpg |

Not sure what your talking about, pin out? Do you mean the tabs? remove the wire clips and clean the tabs off and they are marked.

thank you tho .. just fyi. i asked before cleaning it and such as sometimes not that i have to explain. but sometimes i dont work on it till 1 or 2am. was tryin to find info befor ehand is all.. and like to know ahead of time.. ill be sure to read all other sites before asking again here.. if i blow it up its my own fualt but ty .. for the input ... |

If you haven't already, I would pull the head of the engine. It sounds like there was a lot of air escaping from the cylinder during the compression stroke while you were starting it, which is a symptom of a blown head gasket.

VRs are new to me iam only 53 lol at 70 to 100 bucks per. info is a money saver here.. R Bedell ty for that info... ill check it out.. i dont know all the info on board here. you know more of where its all at and probley dont even need it no more as its 2nd nature to u ... looks to be a R93. ty for info i did tho clean tabs. one screw broke so have to drill it out.. and yes there marked. i did find bench test video and seems ok .. will find out when i get harness from mike and plug her in .. |
