Default My Cub that wouldn't start in the cold -

I've had a Quietline 1450 for @ 8 years now. Got it from a bud that should've
never been allowed to touch it. Took a year to fix all his half arsed repairs.

Two years ago, it didn't want to start in cold weather. Tried just about everything. I read a while back someone's post on here that had similar problems. After a new battery & starter, I took the advice of the post I read -
a new coil & condenser did the trick! She fired up last night (in 20 degree weather) in two cranks!

I guess I just wanted to say THANKS! This site is a wealth of helpful information.

Talking Still working

She fired up again last night on the first crank!
Did our drive, the neighbor's, a friend's down the road and a bunch of sidewalk for the mailman. She's a tank now!

I'll pretty her up in the spring (new paint and decals). Right now, I'm doing up my MIL's Gravely riding tractor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
