if I attach that fishing tool to the valve stem, then how do I attach something to fill the fluid in?
I'll look for the burp button filling tool as well... Quote:

The reply was for "Olds" while fishing a tube stem during mounting a tire/tube assembly.
If one has a "fill adaptor" attached to a tube it will not go back into the rim as it is too big. I just use my finger to hold the stem to the side of the rim hole as I screw on the fill adaptor. When removing the adaptor, the pressure is sufficient to hold it in place while the core is inserted/tightened. When a tube costs $80.00 and more for bigger ones on farm tractors one is careful handling tubes/stems. Yes a damaged stem can be ground off and a new stem can be glued to the tube to save it. They are just like a tire patch with a stem in the center of them. I just don't trust that repair on a large tube, especially that one needs for a critical farming operation that is liquid filled. A lawnmower is a different situation and an acceptable repair.
