Hello from South Central, Pennsylvania!
Hi there folks,
I'm fairly new to this awesome looking forum and I just figured I'd tell a little about my interest in IH Cub Cadet. I bought my first Cub Cadet 122 when I was 12yrs old (with a little help from dad) off a Craigslist deal and I fell in love at first site when my father took me out to pick it up. It came with a 48" mower deck and mule drive and Ive done a lot to it with my dad over the years with many stories involving it at local shows and around the house. That thing has served me well for many years even through surviving teenage boy craziness with buddies mudding and tug o wars. After a good bit of time with that 122 I convinced dad we could fit another Cub in the shed and a very dear family friend had this 123 in his shed that was once his father's. After I brought it up to him at a family cookout he said he'd be glad to have me come look at it and so the next day my dad and I headed just down the road to where it was located. He let me have a good look at it and I just couldn't believe it, I was staring at an almost all original Cub Cadet 123 with a CC-42 snow-thrower, 3pt setup with the complete Brinly setup, a red cultivator attachment (Im still trying to research what brand it is), some sort of plow that bolts to the Brinly setup, wheel weights, a 48" deck with mule drive, some sort of odd hitch looking piece that I still cant identify, and chains all in pretty good shape. He had asked me if I was just gonna get it and then sell it and I told him I was gonna give it a good wash and take it to shows. He then gave me a piece of paper and told me to write an amount and so I wrote my number, he took the paper, and wrote down $10,000 and showed it to me. I gave him a startled look and he said ok we'll meet in the middle at $5,000 lol. He then turned around and wrote on the paper and turned back around to show me and it read out FREE, I felt like crying cause I just couldn't believe it! So I'm now the proud owner of two CC narrow frames and I love both of them! I plan on transferring the 3pt onto the 122 and giving some of the more valuable "show stuff" like the tail light and the original style seat, which I had redone this past year, onto the 123 to make it the show rig and 122 be the work rig. I could keep rambling on about them for hours but I wanna wrap this up. Ill include some pictures here for you folks to look at.

 That's an awesome pair of machines with an awesome story to them! I always appreciate those who love the narrow frames, as many prefer to stay clear from them because they're kinda difficult to work on with the non-removable tunnel cover. Once you get used to it though it really isn't that difficult. I love my narrow frames as well, and a 123 is on my "someday" list.  This place is amazing, all the repair manuals you could ever need are available here for free, and there's a huge knowledge base with many users who know how to solve almost any issue you may have. Never be afraid to ask questions!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
