How to service Cub Cadet 400 tiller?

I recently acquired a model 400 tiller that was actually red and branded MTD. It has been repowered with a Predator 301cc engine and it looks like part of the rib on the chain drive covers was cut and welded to fit the new engine on. It also send that the output shaft on the engine contacts the belt guard when it's set in the ground with the tines engaged like it's flexing.

But my big question is, what do I need to do to service the rotating parts on the tiller itself? Are there hidden grease fittings underneath somewhere? Does the chain just use gear for lubrication? Can I lube the chain without splitting the case?
