Trac Vac 450
I just picked up a couple of Trac Vac's. I think the one that mounts on the rear of the tractor is a model 450. The PO said in was on a Wheel Horse. Does anyone have a picture of the mounting brackets that would have been needed to put on a WF Cub?
I have also picked up a Trac Vac pull behind trailer type with the deal. Of course I will need to come up with new hoses, as these are old or missing for this one. Several months ago I bought a Peco Leaf Vac that mounts on the rear of Cadets also. The bag was old and the zipper was broke. I called Peco and to my surprise they still make replacement bags for about $75. I haven't ordered one yet, but thought it was amazing they still service a 45 year old piece of equipment. |

I got one like the 450 ( I say like as I'm not sure of the model but it works great ) when I purchased my first 125.

Thanks for the info Mr. Smith. I also have an old peco and have been missing the top cap piece since I got it. I will have to give them a call I had no idea.

They make the top and bag. I was thinking about modifying it to use a large round plastic rubbermaid garbage can. It would be easier to empty.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
