Default 149 steering wheel metal trim piece?

Is there a replacement for the 149 steering wheel sheet metal trim? Or do I have to make one and add a decal?

NOS ones are still out there, I know Lew aka Darkminion had some for a while, Tin/decal combination IIRC.

That one says out of stock. The NOS one on his page under it is 50 bones. Maybe good idea to call to see when they will be available

Well you don’t need 4. How about one to help me complete my 149? I had the decal and made a piece of sheet metal for it but it didn’t sit right and I ditched it.

I cut a piece of metal that I will tape in, and then attach the decal from the decal kit to it. But I haven't done it yet so I can't show you a picture of the final product. I understand that is a pretty common approach?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
