Default Z-Force Help

Greetings,

I have a 2008 Z-Force 48. All has been well since new.

During the last few cuts, it seems that the lap bars have become very sensitive. If I hit a bump, the slightest movement of the bars drastically affect the movement of the machine.

The back and forth of the machine and me can look like a teenager trying to drive a manual transmission for the first time.

I don't think it's my imagination. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Im not real familiar with those, but have you ever done a hydraulic fluid and filter change?A 2008 model would definately be due one.If not take a look at all of the linkage just to make sure something doesn't have a stick wedged somewhere or even clogged grass hung up in the linkage.

I agree. I have a commercial 2008 z 48 and I know that there are adjustment screws/bolts at the base of the handles. I only have about 65 hrs. on mine, so mine hasn't encountered any sensitivity issues, but the fluid would be a great place to start.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
