Alright guys it's up and running under its own power but there's an issue, clutch isn't disengaging to put it into gear, plates and disc keep spinning, but if I try anyway to put it into gear it will pop in with almost no grinding then they stop turning, any ideas?

The Kevlar clutch in my 108 did that till I got some hours on it. How much free travel do you have?

It seems to have enough free play, I adjusted it and now the plates and shaft just about stop, but disc still spins, shifts into gear without grinding, I'll check it later and report back, seemed like it slipped alittle too, but I have since adjusted it.

If the clutch isn't fully releasing like you say I highly doubt it's slipping unless you have the shaft assembled wrong, I would adjust the free travel and take it for a spin.

It doesn't matter what kind of sled it is, application is the same. This is why I don't comment on your threads much. You don't listen. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
