Default QA 42A tensioner needle bearing removal help

Anyone have any trick to get the needle bearing out of the chain tensioner. I have new bearings and having a rough time getting them out.

Had a hell of time getting the pin out out of the other side that attaches to the thrower. Heated up

Wondering the same for these too Or cut them out.

Any help would be great

Find a socket just the right size and press them out using it,
just like you would do pushing a bushing.
I would just turn up the right sized step bushing/bearing pusher but not a lot of ppl have a lathe so the socket can be used.
CAUTION: support the aluminum casting carefully, as they are NLA and not easy to come by.

CC specialties has some aluminum tensioners available if you end up needing one.

I pressed the bearings out recently on mine. I used a socket the right diameter and my 12-ton hydraulic press. Worked like a charm.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
