Default QA42A part ID help

I can't find the part number for this busted piece on the cub website, could anyone point me in the right direction? I'm guessing maybe they don't make a replacement part for this, so if that's the case, should I attempt to weld some new pin holders on the old part?

Go to the Parts Lookup at the top of the page. Use "QA42" as the model number. Once it populates the sections, look at the "Rotor" section for the parts breakdown.

Thanks Roland, looks like the part number is 397032-R1 and they aren't available that I can see.

You can search the Internet and the Auction Sites for Good Used Parts. You can click on the Sponsors Tabs above (Houtz and Patton), to see if they have any in their Bone Yards.

That's the chain adjuster. You can find them at CCspecialties through this link and I've seen them on eBay as well.

Get a another one, you're unlikely to be able to weld to that aluminum piece successfully.

The other thread I made for snow thrower parts help might help you in the future: https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ad.php?t=59410

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
