Loaders on cubs is one of my favorite subjects, I've had one since the early 80's
and for the last 25 years on a 1450. I have a Johnson Workhorse that has 150 pounds of weight or a IH rear rake on the back. I never had a problem with steering and it was a great help around the property. When you find a loader, make sure it has push arms to the rear axle, the frame mount loaders seem to tweak and crack the frame.

Good looking rig.

I bought a Sears suburban SS/16 with a Johnson Workhorse FEL like the one you show with tubes to the rear axel (I wish I could find one today). Anyway I sold it to a guy who paid me extra to mount it on a JD garden tractor with an offset pumpkin that required a 4" modification to one side of the rear-end mount tube. I mounted the pump for pto belt drive up front on the JD. A moment in time ~ 35 years ago.

Steve N........ Mine came off a Ford GT-16, (Jacobson platform). I had to modify the length of the push arms, and a new way to mount the loader to the front of the tractor. They had a cool set up for the power angle blade that used the lower loader frame, I guess I just had eyes for the loader at the time and could have kicked myself for passing it over.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
