Suggestions for a loader for a 782

I want to put a loader on my 782. What's the most likely candidate? How difficult to find something that will fit? Suggestions? At one time I had the skills to build my own but at age 80 with arthritic thumbs that ship has sailed so kinda looking for something as close to plug & play as I can find. Thanks.

Buy a scut with loader, it's more versatile and no work on your part.
While I have 2, 782's, and a 1650, I will not abuse them with a loader.
Just my opinion you didn't ask for.

No offense. Yeah, I've kicked it around; put one on the Farmall, buy one, modify the 782. Without going into details, putting one on the 782 makes the most sense for me in my situation. I thought when I posted this I'd get a bunch of opinions. I'm a wee bit surprised at the lack of.

Not for sure about a 782, but I had a WorkHorse put on my 149 and I am glad that I put it on my 149 instead of 782.

A loader on a non power steering cub is not "fun"
I have P.S. on my 3 mentioned Gt's,--I would never go back to manual steering.
Maybe some will chime in, several here have put a loader on cubs.
I don't need a loader on a cub as I have a loader on my 400 Farmall and
Wain-Roy back hoe I can attach when needed,
it is something I built in my younger days.
Today if I needed a similar setup, I'd buy it, not build it.
Not that I couldn't, just a BTDT, no need to do it again.
I will say, sometimes It would be nice to have a little Kubota for small jobs.
And they don't loose value.

I put a Kwik Way loader on my 1772 and I have been very happy with it. As George said, you will want to have power steering. This tractor is dedicated to being used as a loader machine because I don't want to pull it on and off.

When I tore my old chicken barn down I used the loader to tear out a bunch of concrete and dump it in a roll off dumpster. I couldn't imagine doing that by hand. Renting a skid steer machine is $500 a weekend. I probably have around $1400 in this loader. I did crack the frame and broke off a steering knuckle in the process but only because I was ramming the concrete and lifting the pieces with the corner of the bucket causing the frame to flex.

Yes, I wish I had a Kubota BX with a FEL but I didn't have $10k to spend on a loader. Maybe someday I will. The loader is mostly used for light chores around the house and hauling firewood now and I couldn't imagine not having one.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for. Doesn't even have to have a bucket that big. Essentially to move mulch around the yard and other small jobs. Like a powered wheelbarrow. Thanks for posting.

I looked for awhile and could not find a front end loader for my 1782 so I bought a Johnny bucket, it has been a back saver and a very worth while investment! As mentioned I think power steering would be a must. As a added labor saver I purchased dr back hoe, so far Im happy with my set up.

OP, keep your eyes on FB Marketplace and Craigslist. Just search loader everytime you're on the computer. You'll probably find a tractor with one on for less than a plug and play kit for your 782, or a super cub and one.

I only gave $2,250 for my IH 284 with loader, that is quite a bit more capable than a Cub with one. Similarly, I found a M610 Bobcat for $800...they're out there.
