Default Original cub cadet steering fastener the same as other models?

I have a buddy that recently got a first gen cadet that’s missing the rubber retainer that centers the steering wheel to the dash. Will one off a 1450 fit? International used many of the same parts on different equipment I’ve come to find out, and the 1450 & original cub’s retainer both look the same on a parts diagram.

As for the Upper Column Bearing, the CCO & the 1450, use the same 941-3023 Bearing.

I think he needs the rubber piece that goes on the dash tower.

According to the TC-113 Parts Catalog, the "Original" dash grommet is p/n IH-376254-R1.
For all other tractors IH-384908-R1 is used.
Looking at Cub Cadets parts look-up, the IH-376254-R1 is only used on Originals and Lo-Boys.
The IH-384908-R1 does not show as being used on the Original.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
