I’m a 2nd owner of a 1641 [was my father’s], with 592 hours. It came complete with the original invoice [04.02.97], service records, owner’s manual, 48” mulching deck, 42” push blade, box blade, and wheel weights.
The fuel tanks need to be pulled and cleaned, along with replacing all the fuel lines and filter. Is there a preferred method for cleaning the tanks? Next will be the engine and tranny fluids.
Is there a source on here for the wiring diagram and service manual? Thanks

Welcome to OCC!

I don't know much about newer cubs like the 1641, but the site has a great reference section containing everything from owner's manuals, wiring diagrams, part references, and even some how to's for almost any model or implement. You can find it about halfway down the main page or here is a link to the manual section.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
