Cub Cadet 104 rebuild
I hope I put this in the right thread. I started to go through and disassemble my new found Cub 104. So far the known issues, it needs a brake clutch pedal, the pedal snapped off and bar is seized into the bushings, it needs a new carburetor, and the clutch disc for the drive shaft. It will need new tires and tubes. The console where the battery rests will need fixed or replaced. I have been looking around online for parts and tires apparently 6.00 12 tires are not the same as 6-12 tires. I am looking for the V pattern tires because I live on a hill and the clay here is as slick as bull snot. This is just a few of the things I need to fix. I am also possibly looking for the creeper gear box.

Well guys got the tractor all stripped down looks like Im going to need a steering box as well not sure if I'm gonna put mower deck back on or try to convert it to a pull behind mower deck and mount an engine still on the fence I will need to repair or replace where the battery tray is and where the clutch arm mounts as well and gonna need that brake clutch pedal had to cut it off to get it out plus pedal is broke off. I will need a few clutch parts as well. If I could find a parts 104 I'd be golden I posted a want ad here and other places hope I can locate something to get this thing running definitely need it bad.

Thanks for the links I didn't find those ones since I've been searching. I've been searching and researching for a few days for hrs looking things up. I'll have to get some more pics of where I'm at with fixing it. I'll have to see if if that front PTO clutch assembly is worth fixing and the pulleys I know the mower deck needs rebuilt or replaced. Its missing the PTO lever and arm and the steering shaft is shot too. I just need to see what's the most cost effective approach.

I have found that 6.00 x 12 tires are sometimes the deeptread rice type tires that come on the front of import tractors. I have some on my OCC.
Walmart has some of the cheapest 6-12's. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Carlisle-...saAhrAEALw_wcB Here is a pic of my OCC with 6.00-12's Randy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
