Nice, last time I saw the F Cub it was in pieces. Isn't there a parade this year in town to show them off?

Can't quite relate to the oil situation, but can to the broken rod. After months of intermittent trouble shooting and a decent amount of work done on my 129 over the past two years, finally got it back from the shop last June, mowed with it twice, and the (original) rod snapped. Sort of heartbreaking at the time. Was thinking of calling it quits right there but then got a rebuilt motor from a local dealer who has worked on these old Cubs for decades.

I wish you the best with whatever engine you get for it. I was told here (and by others) to "save" the old girl, so that's what I'm trying to do.

Yes, the parade is in August. That 100 is the cub I bought from you a while back. I refurbished the deck and replaced the clutch......decided to repaint it, but by golly the only paint I had in the cabinet was red and white.....LOL

You need some fenders on that 100 willy, do they allow garden tractors at the tractor parade?
I would like to bring the 1512 for the 7 mile drive.

a set of fenders is on the bucket list for the 100. I don't know if garden tractors are allowed in the parade, but what I do know is that they need to maintain 8-9 mph the whole trip

I know the 1512 will handle the drive and speed, but I do not want the law after me...
They have a similar parade in Montgomery ny, they all all types of tractors, garden and bigg'uns

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
