Nice machines guys! My 149 was restored about 15 years ago, according to the PO. It's been to work ever since so it's not quite as nice now. I guess it looks like a 15 year old machine instead of a 40 year old machine. I really should do a quick clean and paint to bring it back...but then I might be afraid of scratching it

Hey Mike1450, I was wondering where you ordered your decals from for your 1450 restoration? Some of the sites I have checked the blue is way off. Your decals look a lot like the originals. Great looking 1450!

Thanks! I bought the seat at TSC. The hole patterns are not right but i drilled and tapped new holes. It is a low back seat i like it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
