Default Cub 1100 Carburetor Trouble

First, I want to say hello to everyone and thank you for having me aboard. This is my first post. I finally got my first riding mower and a proud owner of my first Cub Cadet 1100. Paid $250 for it and could not be happier. Runs/ran great. Mowed one lawn and the started my restoration project. Found that the carb needed attention when it started having VERY high RPM's. No adjustment would work so i assumed internal flaw. Found that the governor rod? that attaches to the plate on the inside had a great deal of free play, the seal was warn out of it and the throttle body plate was loose and has an over sized hole for the screw in there. I am attaching pictures. Is there ANY way to repair this, find a new Carb or a repair kit that would include these parts? Everywhere i look there is no kit that comes with the parts i need and this Carb is no longer available.
Any advice?!?!
How do I post a video?

Default 1100 carb

I believe that I have a carb that was almost new when I removed it from an 1100 that had a junk engine. I will try to look tomorrow.

Oh, ok I didn't even look at price. You said it was unavailable.. So if you dont want to do that, You can rebuild and repair the over sized hole or you could possibly find a different part number carb for the 11 horse and adapt to your engine.

One more option.. Found a used one.. Not pretty but you might be able to get the parts you need off it.

Welcome to NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

If you think you can fix it, get to fixing and quit asking questions.
The 1100 isn't a very desirable tractor. Not many people want them, part of the reason is because of the engine. Not going to be much out there for it.
I think you better be looking at your governor before spending any money on a carb. Governor is usually the cause of high RPM. Even if the carb linkage is shot and the engine tries to run too fast, the governor should be trying to shut it down. If it's not, the governor is likely broken internally.

That's the thing, the governor arm that is attached to the rod that goes through has about 1/4 inch of play before it even moves. I was thinking of just trying to do a tac weld? somethign that would delete that play? and about the over sized hole in the disc which is not tight at all and moves around freely in the carb, maybe just get a comparable washer and make it work?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
