New guy from KY
hey everybody. name is casey. live in ky. i've had newer cubs before, just recently bought a 74 149 to hopefully get ready to mow with and slowly restore. my dad had an identical (at least from what i can remember) tractor when i was old enough to start cutting grass. it wasn't hydro and i don't remember the model. i've always been a little raw about him getting rid of it. i've already learned alot from this site and i'm sure i'll be picking some brains in the near future.

That'll work! Nice 149. Still got the 14 horse in it to? Yea hood from a 128/9 . Should clean up good for ya, painting will be easy. Blade looks good too, be careful using it for dozer work you could bend pieces/parts and I've seen them crack in places too. Light use/loads and its fine. Thanks for the view.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
