I got busy and just neglected to post some pictures. The tractor is mostly finished. I need to do some repairs to the loader frame and paint it. It really works great. Here are some pictures.

Thanks guys. Richard, no the fenders were on the 2182 that I built the loader tractor from when I bought it. The engine, wiring and some misc parts came from the 1864 I bought from you. The fenders from that 1864 are on my 1872 mowing tractor that I put the 28 hp efi engine in. The hood and sheet metal come from various tractors I parted out. It really is a Mutt when you think about it. Thing is it is so handy to have around.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
