I'm entitled to my opinion. OP asked for suggestions. My suggestion: buy a golf cart and leave the cub a cub.

Custom cub cadets. This is the right area for it. Why are we gonna bash for the custom build? People come on this page for help from others knowledge, someone who might have done this stuff/idea's before. Not do be put down for ideas. Probably pushing away good projects that could become great projects because of the na sayers. Transmissions are still the same, engines might change. But the love of these machines are still there. On that note, more power to ya.

I dunno, the local cub guy has 150+ old cub cadets, but the golf car guy only has about 12 old golf cars. I say its your stuff do what you want. Since scrap is down, cub cadets seem easier to find. Sad but true.

i believe the point was having a tractor that seats 2 when going to shows to cruise around on. anyone can buy a golf cart, but not everyone will have a 2 seater cub. the way some of you responded was like cub cadets are very rare,if that was the case then call all the sponsers and tell them they cant part them out..... last i knew we lived in a free country

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
