Looking for dimensions
I've been searching for the oil pan bolt hole center dimensions for a Kohler K-301 AQS engine. I don't have an extra oil pan and wanted to make a template to hold the engine rails in place to weld in the brace modification.
Does anyone happen to have this info available?

Can't you just measure the pan you have? Engine has to come out to do the mod...
You really need to bolt it to an actual pan. If you measure, make a template, weld it up, then go to put it on, what if your template was wrong? At the very least, you need to check the template against an actual pan to confirm fitment. |

My first thought was that I wish I had an extra pan so I wouldn't disturb a non-leaking sealed oil pan and make more work for myself. That's why I thought of a template. So...I guess I need to search for an oil pan gasket.

Do yourself a favor, bolt it to your pan,or spare pan.
Oh and they "pull" when you weld them. Nothing wrong with bolting it to your pan while the engine is out. Just drain the oil, flip it over and have at it. BTDT. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
