Default 682 with bad motor?

What's it worth? In good shape, except for the bad motor.

Pictures would help, and extent of "bad motor"
To some, a bad motor won't start, or uses a little oil, to others, a bad motor means "done blowed up" as they say in nascar, parts scattered everywhere.

Pics would be best, to many variables and a pic is worth 1000 words. Yes I agree bad motor means alot of different things, I bought my 1811 with a locked up engine but it turned out to just be acorns in the blower housing keeping it from turning and after I took care of that it runs great.

Fair enough. here is the only pic I have at the moment. Bad motor means both rods broke, resulting from running with low oil.

yeah nicer shape than the 782 I just bought with a low compression motor. It was already torn down some. I paid $150.

Nothing broke through the block. Really that low? I guess I will be keeping it.

That's a really sharp tractor from the pics, I'd pay more for sure. Wish you were closer I'd work out a deal for it.

I paid $300 for one a few months back (it was a local machine). It came with 2 blown KT-17's (series 1 and 2), fairly new tires on the rear, a replacement deck in great shape, a box full of spare parts (bearings, points) and 3 or 4 qts of Hy-tran. To me that was too much money, but I needed it to attempt to piece back a 782 for a friend. Well, never had the heart to cannibalize it so its mothballed until I stumble across a replacement engine very cheap. I was looking for an engine when I stumbled across the 1811 I just brought home. I will be stealing the seat for that project!

That's a good looking cub there. I'd pay a little more for that. Wish I had it! I have a k321 that would love that as its new home!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
