Oh, guess I forgot to mention the 60$ price tag was the whole load of parts' price tag. I paid 60$ for a nice but cracked baffle, muffler box, really nice side panels, and a junk muffler. Still cheaper than ebay, at least. Hopefully this guy sells his 1450 engine without the muffler so I can finally run stock setup in the 1250. Just need to order a new U-bolt for the clamp.

Well, pulled the trunion springs, other brake caliper, and valves from the old transmission, swapped the throttle handle to a nicer one, and put in the hydraulic lift cylinder. Started soaking the head bolts so I hopefully don't snap em out. Now to finish scraping the dirt off the frame, put engine parts in, and put the 1650 transmission in.

Looks like my garage right now, I have a 100 with an entire 102 in pieces piled on top of it. No room to work with my 1912 with the blower on in there out of the weather.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
