Yep, we splurged and spent over $4 for the turkey,,,

Now, for tomorrow, we are trying to figure out what to serve??
Maybe a rib roast,,

anyways, the two daughters get together and make a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving,,
we get an invitation,,,
Bacon, Bacon Bacon.
buy some buns and make hot bacon/sliced turkey sam-mitches with sausage gravy.
On the side, smashed taters with peas or green beans.
Mmm good.

---Or do pork stakes/western ribs on the grill.

I have substituted Turkey in the past with a Filet Mignon or a spiral sliced ham.

A pig roast on a spit would be cool also if your in a warm climate to do outside!

My in-laws live at a senior care facility. The facility is providing a buffet! None of has to cook or clean up and we don't have to worry about taking mom and dad out somewhere! We are way okay with this!

So, got the turkey ready. Sadly not a fresh turkey this year. The place I usually get it from had slim pickins and said it was a bad year for fresh turkeys? Not sure what that means so I wound up with a butterball.

Anyway 22 pounds fits nicely in my Homer bucket.. Here it is in the beer and apple brine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
