Default Hello to all

I am very excited to be a part of the Cub Cadets. I am in Birmingham AL, and just purchased a 105 and 100 from a fellow who had them both sitting for about the past 6 yrs.

I know that all of you have so much experience with the cub cadets and look so forward to your suggestions and guidance for working to get both of my tractors running again.

Glad to have found this connection.

Are these the ones that were for sell on Craigslist? I saw some for sell a while back on the east central side of the state line, not too far from Georgia. Congrats on the purchase! If these are the ones I saw, they look like good machines.

Either way, welcome! I live in Odenville/Moody out in St. Clair County so if you need a hand with anything, let me know. If you need it, the guys on here will help tremendously with advice on technical knowledge for these old things.

Welcome to the forum.
To be in Bammy with TWO vintage CC's is a rarity enjoyed by few.
You will enjoy the simplicity and the longevity of them as you get to know them.

Welcome Canman. Glad to have you aboard. Many of us have the same vintage Cubs as yours. We'll help any way we can.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
