So I figured this 73 has lasted 47 years so there must be something to this. I love this old piece of iron.
Speed cost money, how fast you want to go? You won't regret going "old school" versus new. So you have to work on them from time to time, but they'll still outlast anything on the showroom floor today.
"I spent a small fortune...", I hear yeh, wait till they begin to multiply.

Nice Cubs and #2 cart. It's good the kids are into them, mine are too. I see you have some horses too.

Yea my kids love all tractors. So do I. Wheel horse and cub are my 2 favorite but I like all brands of old garden tractors. My dad collects cubs as my grandpa bought new cubs since the originals.

Default The 100 at work and ready for snow

The 122 is for mowing and the 100 for everything else. Today it is for hauling water to the new pine trees.

My new 1978 1250. Only paid 100 bucks for it with deck as part of a package deal with two other tractors. Needs some work but is solid and runs. First one to get me hooked on cub cadets. Now have this one and a 129.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
