New to me 14 Z Force SZ Comm. already ???
I read numerous threads, but just got permission to totally have access to attachments and comments. Searched and couldn't find an answer so far.
My deck adjustments lever is suppose to adjust every 1/4. You put a pin in and the lever is suppose to lock on the pin. Well mine locks on the back holes, but not the front holes. The lock looks o.k., not worn. Is there an adjustment or did I get a lemon. 1st outing, drive belt came off. With a lot of luck, I finally got it back on. A great way to learn about your new mower. 2nd time, I put on a mulching kit, removed the deck, not an easy task. Found rear deck release pins, 1 on inside and 1 on the outside of arms (odd). But the new blades cut so clean and smooth. So far, front end doesn't seem too smooth, rough rolling. and on a slope if you back up, the front wheels will leave the ground for a second. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
