Cub Cadet 2182
I have a chance to buy a 2182 with a 60” deck. It has the gas Kubota WG600-B engine. It starts easy and sounds great. Mower has zero rust and runs quiet. Having only rely with the older cadets, 149/169 and such, I know nothing about these. It is priced between $750-$1000, he hasn’t given me his final price yet. I am not sure on how many hours it has. What are the thoughts on this tractor and the price? It also has the three point set up. Thanks.

I value the 3 point at $400 and the 60" deck at another $400 or $800 total so far. Any questions? Go get it.

Final price is $800. It does not have the rear PTO or the front hydraulic ports. I would have guessed the front hydraulic ports were standard equipment?

I've owned two 2182's and a 1782 all 3 had cooling issues. I installed gauges in all 3 so that I could keep a better eye on temps, idiot lights never did come on on any of them.

I have never seen one without them, maybe someone wanted a dual stick on another tractor. That is a great price, go get it before someone beats you to it.

Dual hydraulics were an option for the cyclops SGT's. And not too common. They were standard on 15, 17, 18, 2072's.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
