Default kubota diesel wont run

Ok so I recently picked up this z482b diesel to put into a 682 for a puller project. I don't know the history on this thing other than that it is the exact same motor as the d600 that is in the 782d and so on. it is only missing one cylinder. but the bore and stroke and pretty much every thing else is the exact same besides being a 2cyl.

Here is my problem. It seems to me that it isn't getting much if any fuel actually into the cylinders. especially the front one. The exhaust is off so I can see which cyl is trying to fire and it only seems like the rear one is trying sometimes but not always. I am thinking about getting the injectors tested but am also considering that the pump might be bad as well. It does push fuel up to the injectors when I crack the lines loose but it doesn't really spray out of them like I am used to on the bigger cummins motors I am used to. it only dribbles out. Should I start with the injectors and then go into the pump? or should I go thru both and be done with it? Can a diesel injection shop even bench test these style pumps or is it just a matter of working or not?
Thanks for any help I can get. I am hoping to at least get this thing up and running before winter so when I work on it this winter I know what it all needs. I am going to be calling columbus diesel to ask about a cam and maybe a modded pump and injectors anyway but would like to make sure the thing runs first. otherwise i will just keep looking for a d600-d750 instead.

What was wrong with your engine? I found one of those and was thinking of trying to put it in a 1864. Just thinking for now.

If you want to pull competitively you should look for a 3 cylinder diesel like a d950 to a 1105 kubota.

basically it needed new fuel lines and I put a new electric pump on it.
I plan on pulling in the off the lawn class for now until I find a d750 to build for it. The club I will be pulling in doesn't really have many diesels. so they get combined with the off the lawn class. either 900 or 1100lb
Otherwise If I went to the next bigger class I would be thrown in with the motorcycle engine tractors that are limited to 800cc. itll take a healthy diesel to put out the kind of power these guys are getting from their kawasaki 750 4cyls and 700-800cc snowmobile engines. Those things are in the 150hp range.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
