Where are you shopping that you could get a sheet of plastic with milk and bread? ....and how can you not buy cheese with a username like that?

So I've been to Family Dollar, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, It's a Buck, Big Lots, Walmart, and I cannot find a roll up sled!! I have exactly 16 big rivets, best not make any mistakes.

This is like what we got at the dollar store but for more money. Shop around for a better price.

https://www.amazon.com/Buckmans-Ski-...965PA49YNKKDNW
Size 18 X 54.

Here is one for $3.99 but I imagine with S&H it won't be close to the dollar store deal.

Oops! this last one is only 18" X 36".

Why not just use a piece of coil stock? It is aluminum (no rust), already in white, would last longer than plastic, and is large enough to cover the blade....not to mention a piece that size would be very cheap if you found a carpenter or maybe a roofer who had some. They would probably just give you a piece that size.

Made a better lift rod yesterday. Somehow the picture uploaded. I first drilled the ends of (2) 1/2" X 7 L bolts to accept cotter pins, then I welded nuts into the ends of a length of conduit. I threaded the bolts into the nuts, and tacked some washers onto the L bolts to hold it in place. I added a spring to the front of the rod between the plow bracket and the washer backing plate. Attached the other end of the spring to a bolt hole with a zip tie for now, and it works great! The lift assist especially was a huge improvement. I would definitely consider stronger thread than just a regular nut if I were to build them again. I'll leave it adjustable for now but if the threads strip out I'll probably weld it solid.

I made 2, one for the 149 and one for the 106. No spring on the hydro, and the conduit was longer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
