New from Iowa
Hello everyone. I am glad to see that there are more of you cub crazy people out there just like me. I am a young collector and my passion is the early NF tractors. I am currently working on restoring a 100 that was my grandfather's. I also have a "working" 100 that has seen many days of work, but I see everything on it as a beauty mark and they all have a story to tell. I am glad that I have a place on the net to call 'home' and a place I can turn to when trouble comes my way! Thanks for the great site!

Hey eggofire;
I have a 100, and I use the crap out of it. I also have a 102 that I am restoring, narrow frames are the best. I also have a 2166, but it just isn't the same, good machine, just not the same. CadetFarmer over and out |

Me too! Where in Iowa are you from? I live on 12 acres on the Iowa river outside of Eldora, and like killing deer. I just won a cub off of ebay to push snow and work food plots with. This seems like a real cool and informative message board, I'm sure I'll spend quite a bit of time on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
