1215 - Needs brake work and general tune-up
Hi All,
My grandfather passed a couple of years ago and had a 1215 at the house he was staying. The people that owned the place asked me if I wanted it so I picked it up this past weekend. All in all, seems in okay shape. The deck will likely need some patching, and I assume I'll have to pump the fuel out and clean the carburetor out. It ran choked for maybe 5 seconds and I haven't been able to get it to kick since so I'm guessing it gunked up real quick with the old fuel. Anyway, I expect I'll be okay getting the engine going myself. However, I was told that the brakes haven't worked on it for a while. does anyone have any diagrams or literature that can help diagnose what I need to do? I'm not even sure what type of brake system this thing has! Also, anyone have any anecdotal information to share about this tractor? Is this a "good" model, if there is such a thing?
