Just came in from the shop. Replaced the bearing plate gasket (2x) and the seal (2x) on the 982. (Long story!
) It's now running fine with no leaks. Installed new plugs and wires and now I have to reinstall the pto and put the mufflers, shrouds, grill, hood and side plates back on. Then it will be ready for action!

BignastyGS, I'll trade that 782 for $1700 and your spring assist
I like my selection too, except the 128 hasn't moved under it's own power since November... I can't wait for plowing season lol. My dad let's me use an old grainery for cub storage.. Room for at least 40 indoors

I installed the new wiring harness in my 129 today, but I still need more parts. The Solenoid is bad, and I think I was sold the wrong Regulator.

The reg that was on it, has a Fld, Bat, and Gen, terminals plus a Ground.
The one they sold me has a Field, Bat, L and Gen terminal. According to the wiring diagrams, the 3 wire fits most model, but the 4 wire fits the originals.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
