Got the hubcaps repainted (back at the end of March).
Over the weekend, bolted the engine back in and ran it for 10 minutes, then re-torqued the heads once cooled. Pulled the engine back out, installed tins and will get drive shaft hooked up soon. Carb needs some adjusting. Also got my new seat (Northern Tool deal) installed.
It was nice to finally sit on my garden tractor.

How are you installing the engine shields with the oil filter in that location?

Maybe the tins will fit? But is there room enough to screw the filter off?

Machine looks nice, wish I had a set of hubcaps on mine. Yeah I know, always a set for sale somewhere, but I'm too cheap!

Thanks for the comments. The PO cut out a section from the side and front/bottom tins to access the oil filter.
