well its been a long time, i bought a 78 F-150 that takes alot of my time.
None the less, i cut the POs inserted metal off the plow undercarriage and re-welded it to the correct length. and got the blade cleaned up and painted. I didnt spend much time on this stuff as it will get destroyed the first time out. ![]() ![]() |

Been having some problems with the 126. Seems that when I turn right in second gear or above the pulley on the crank shifts back and grind on a bolt on the block? I can post pics if need be....anyone heard of this before?

So it has been a while. I have been busy with the 78' F-150, but i finished up the deck and plow.. minus the bar that moves it up and down (still need to bend that up)
Its not pretty, but its just going to get banged up anyways. ![]() ![]() Did some booger welding to get the carriage back to specs. ![]() As she sits ![]() As for the gent lokking for the link to the 78' build... its low and slow, but here it is. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/14...4-rebuild.html |

So, although it is pretty and nice now im still running into issues going full throttle and applying any load.
When i thro the speed lever all the way up to fast it bogs out. It will take 10-15 seconds to correct itself, or i can fiddle with the choke and it will return to normal RPM. I have no issue when i engage the mower deck, it only happens when i try to go fast or up a hill. Im getting extremly frustrated and hopeing and praying that i dint mess something up on the rebuild.. becuse that thing is in there... its hard to hear in the videos.. but |

I didn't watch the video but from what you describe it sound like a fuel problem, something in the fuel system is plugged.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
