Yes it is.

today I put it back together,

First I greased up the insides of the seal, those springs like fly off BTDT,used the proper tool, my finger, then used the proper tool to install, seal thingy. Then put in the bushings, line up the hole in it with the grease zerk, used the proper tool, bushing thingy, placed the axes back in the housing and put the clip on, the other axle I cheated and had to look at the parts manual as I forgot which side the bushing was on.Installed axles, the brake side has a locating pin on the brake band, the 2 long bolts go on the bottom 2 holes just to let you know. The other side the the zerk faces the rear like the other side, filled the tranny no leaks.Put tires on and took it for a ride, no leaks , cool.

put some bling on it, used the proper tool, rubber mallet.

The number on the seal is National 480041, prolly a easy one to find,$16.12 from Case IH dealer, the bushing had no other number but the IH part number.$19.75 .Trans cover gasket was $8.95.

Nice job Lew. Thanks for the detailed shots, I always wondered about the brake set up on the O's. No more leaky?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
