Ha, I'd say the same thing goes with mechanics after this thread...wow. Nobody else's opinion is right but theirs. Met too many in my short life that think this way. Sorry, but that's just my

Spoken like an adult. We were all 14 once.

Yep, let's eat our young. Notice Nick doesn't post much anymore? Kinda sad.

Very well said Ryan. I could go on but........... I'd be wrong.

This is the statement I don't agree with. This is where the youth shows.

Look at your self but turn the clock back to when you were 15, I did, I knew it all and I'm sure you guys did as well. If we old farts don't make the time and effort to work with todays kids this country is screwed. The public education system is a total joke. I may disagree with the comments from CubCadet129 but at least we have someone that is willing to put into words what he thinks. Beats the Hell out of "Hey Man, Ya Got any good shit? " sorry but I have a very low tolerance for what today is called society.
I agree Sam. What I don't get is how all this back and forth started from someone getting bent out of shape. Then it turned into a pi$$ing contest. Trying to figure out who the adult is, and who the 14 year old is.

It gets beat to death about once every six months............ I don't get it. Never used to be like this.

I believe this video kind of sums up the points most everyone was trying to make...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYVhF-9hABo

I still have many Craftsman tool I purchased 40 years ago, when I was 15, most have served my needs well in my hobbies, if not it was replaced, a solid value for my use. As I aged my taste, needs and billfold changed, I have added quite a few Snap On and other higher end tools to my box. (Flex head, fine tooth ratchets are my favorite tool now!) My son became a tool freak and only buys top of the line, American made tools, (flea markets, pawn shops, craigslist, etc., old and newer). I am the lucky to benefit from his "excess" buying and he has shown the old guy a thing or two about why some are better and what has progressed in 40 years!

I am glad to see the younger generation getting their hands greasy and hope you continue turning wrenches, whatever brand they may be!

Say, what kind of oil did you say was best...

Everybody should buy a snap-on screwdriver set and I guarantee that you will think it's worth ever penny. You haven't used a screwdriver till you use a # 2 Phillips from snap-on

Terry
Testify on the screw drivers. I bought my first set on my first paying job at the Shell station, wrenching and pumping gas. That was back in 1977, and I've had every tip replaced at no cost.
I had to get one of their new style handles as a replacement last time. I like it, and it feels good. You are nuts on about their #2 Phillips, best tip of any brand out there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
