Yes sir, indeed I am. Maybe Tommorrow if everything falls in place. Kind of nervous about the governor. Followed all the directions, but there is zero tension on the spring. Just doesn't feel right. Gonna look into it some more Tommorrow.

Ok, went over everything again this morning. Wasn't sure about how the throttle set up would work without it being installed. So I just set the console from the parts tractor and hooked it up. I set the battery on the table, hooked a Hotwire from + side of battery to + side of coil. Used booster cables and hooked negative to negative on battery. Other end of negative to a ground point on block. Then took positive side of jumper cables and hooked to positive side of battery , other positive end to "A" terminal on starter and HOT DIGGETY DOG!! The son of a gun started and ran!!!! ...... gotta make fine tune adjustments to the carb, but may wait till I put it in tractor to do that. (It's not anchored down right now, and inside) AWESOME!! 😜😜🚜🚜🚜 sure wish Austin coulda been here with me

Looks great Tinkerman. Good feeling getting one to run after it's been apart for a while, and no issues that's always a plus. I'd say the hardest part of the build is over.

Thanks alvy, the engine really wasn't that difficult, with the exception of crank end play. Removing the bearing plate without a puller was aggravating. If you go by the manual, DONT GET IN A HURRY, and don't look at it as a "job" it's actually pretty interesting. I hope to do another one soon. Got the clutch back together. Man there's a LOT of tension on that clutch spring. Didn't realize it when I was taking it apart. Hope some of what I'm doing helps someone else

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
