Hey,after some further inspection today i see that there is no step in either the tiller or the extention on both sides,and all the holes where the pipe will slid is are the same size.So i dont see any reason why it would need the step in it So i guess i will just use something without the step because it seems it would wobble? I find it odd that you tiller has the step in it like that Duke,unless there is an old pice of broken pipe in the tine hub,and the PO did that to fix it? It also seems odd that IH would make one longer than the other.

Hey johncub7172,you can kinda tell if they are too worn if they no longer overlap where they till. I have been looking at these tines on ebay..http://cgi.ebay.com/Tiller-Tines-MTD...item19c1929c04

The holes are right,IDK about the till depth or the other measurments though.if i try some i will let everyone know if they work.

When I send it to you check and see if it will fit in both extentions. If they fit then have another tube made if not you'll have to have one made with the step in it. Mine does not have a broken pipe in it.

I got the pipe today,it fit both sides just fine,so i found a driveshaft pipe to make another,it was the exact same size,wall thickness too.I hope to get some action pics tomorrow!
