I have 2 of these Lawnboy mowers - both of the ones in the pics guys posted.
The first one I got 20 years ago for $40 - by far the BEST push mower I've ever owned. People, or friends of mine did not like the mixed gas, so I got it. Its so simple, turn on switch, fast and slow switch, gas off/on, and primer - simple and light, nothing more to it. When I mow with someone else's mower I'm a bit amazed and the weight of them. This one resides at my camper. - 2 pulls of the cord and its always running, quiet, light easy to maneuver. Well that's enough, I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Now I'm thinking I need to haul it home and repaint it... My second one I just got last fall, gas is not getting to the carb from the tank, its on my project list, but not close to the top. |

It's cool, I don't have one, looks like it involves manual labor so I don't want one.
![]() That said here is a thread about the same mower. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=32986 So I merged the 2 threads.

Those things must be raining from the sky right now. Seems to be a few of them turning up!
---- Never seen one of those trimmers before. Cool but I'd never want one other than to hang on the wall. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
