+1 (just another half cent - the quiet lines, to me, look better in yellow/white)

I have a couple. The one has the more almond color 'white). Not a big fan of that color either, preferring the more white version of the earlier tractors. Im coming up on some paint decisions so will be watching to see what you decide and how it turns out.

Well its warm enough to do some painting. I used the TSC Majic paint, in the quart can. I used the hardener and thined it with some single stage auto paint. The reducer I used made the paint (hotter) so it would flash faster between coats. This paint is the slowest drying paint I've ever used. And wont ever use it again. I've used the rattle can stuff and it takes 12 hrs before it can be touched. Thats stupid for someone who needs to move the parts around to work on other parts . I sprayed the parts at 8 this morning. It 6 pm now, I can touch the parts, but will finger print them if I move them.

I also had the original hood ready to paint , so l knocked it out to. That hood will get wet sanded and cleared. Its goning to be all show. The 1650 is a nice looking mower.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
