Ditto. I guess there is one good thing about it, more seat time straitening things out.

I was weaned on a 2000 acre farm, everything I do is miniature!!

6-18's is plowing, 14 foot Lely Roterra is disking, if you ain't burning 11 gallons of diesel an hour, the tractor ain't started yet!!

We plowed, disked, and planted 90 acres soybeans a day, and went through a lot of grease!!

Being that it is in the 60's and 70's here in Central, IA, and that the soil temp is near 60 degrees, I took a chance and planted potatoes, onion sets, Spinach, and direct seeded tomoato and peppers.

The soil was a bit wet, but not too bad. I uncovered it (I keep chopped leaves and straw over the garden for the winter) and it was somewhat dry by a couple hours later.

I also put in about 20 sweet corn seeds to see how that does as well.

Glad it's the season to garden!!!

Wow, that is what I call a garden.
5 gallons of diesel will plow and roto-till my garden.

sounds great. I have never had luck direct seeding peppers before. Do you do anything special to them?

I usually direct seed in the ground, planting about twice what I need. It isn't something I do a lot of, but this year, I am trying to use up some old seed instead of buying plants. If they don't grow, I just plant something else.

They take forever to emerge, so it is a long waiting game.

The sticks marks the corn, three rows of taters beside it. Neither have come up.

My work is cut out for me.

I hope I didn't exceed the space limit for posts, I dont know how to size these things down.

Cubguy, I looked at the pics first before I read the words (kind of like a tractor magazine!! ) and I thought the bricked area was where you had buried the remnants of your washed away garden!!

Great recovery!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
