Got some more work done today. First Dad went to the Case IH dealership to get red paint for the 782D, while he was there he saw IH 935 white (Cub Cadet white) for $11 a quart, (and they had Cub Cadet Yellow for the same price). We were paying $33 a quart at a Cub Cadet dealership. Needless to say we bought a lot of paint. Then dad washed the deck for the 782D. Next I primed the wheels that will go on the 1250. Finally Dad painted the hoods for the 782D.

We have been doing some more work on the cubs. Dad has been sanding and wire wheeling on the deck. I have finished getting ready the tires for the 1250. Then I put some of the hoods and the fenders on the cubs.

Forgot to mention that we found some runs on the main hood (on the 782D) so now we'll have to wait 3 to 4 weeks then resand and repaint

Better to redo it now then regret it later on. All this reb paint is making me wish I had a red one to paint!

Very nice looking Cubs there Adam.
Tell me, did you get your IH paint from the diamond case dealer on RT37? I live a short walk from there.
I'm going to need a bunch come Spring.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
